I was born in the 70’s in Colorado. A dirty little happy poor mountain kid with lots of dogs and a brother. Art and music as early as I could manage. Long hair as a Transmigratory Soul’s Oath. I missed my true calling as a scientist of some sort; astronaut, chemist, architect, geologist, astronomer, biologist, mathematician, botanist, who knows. But all these alternate realities still reside within me and I access them for art and music instead. I generally feel not so much like an actual artist and more like a scientist that does art. I most definitely got abducted by the magic of music, or the musick of magick, however its spelled. I will always be enslaved to do the bidding of the muses and to explore the Pythagorean quadrivium and pursue the beautiful intricate connections of ratios and the unseen woven realms. I’m curious of any medium of exploration, and to explore any medium, large or small. I’ll travel anywhere anytime. I’m interested in dynamics and extremes. Full spectrum’s. Spectrii. It’s constant work to balance the primate and the alien. Apollo and Dionysus both strive to control me. The twin ghosts of elephants tied to either side of my soul.

My name is Nathanial Scott Baker and I have a wide range of interests. An anthropologist by nature I am fascinated by most everything (except  for greed, hatred, business, ignorance, etc..) I play a handful of instruments decently. I have a wide range of construction skills. I love working with metal. I love incorporating stone. I enjoy re-purposing materials into art. I like to make art out of scraps and found objects. Why not? I love mixing media. The Pythagorean arts of geometry, ratios and numerology are of utmost interest to me. I am addicted to polyhedra and two dimensional geometrics. I’m a believer that these truly are insights into universal structures of truths. Jungian symbolism also makes a lot of sense on a similar plane. I ride a bike and walk as much as i can and believe that the bicycle can cure all that ails our species. Oh and music also, duh. I kayak as much as i can, and pretend to be a water creature. I’m not a fan of most religion because of their senseless control and strange and destructive habits imposed upon its slaves. We need less separatism and far more genuine acceptance in our beings. Ironically I am endlessly fascinated by the core beliefs of religions, and constantly study almost any sort of spiritual philosophy. The older the better. My beliefs fall somewhere in the ZenArchoPaganBuddhistViking range.

I am currently hiding out in Maine focusing on the inner deeper darker and lighter realms. A self imposed monkhood, surveying the low spots of the soul to rediscover and reclaim all the heavy things that have sunk. The beautiful treasures that one can find at the sea’s edge at the lowest of tides. There is so much extra land to explore at low tide! Reconfiguring, restructuring, reassessing, re-anything. Studying levity and bouyancy from within.

I am not on any social media except my music on Soundcloud. I can’t stand what social media is doing to the collective consciousness of the general public. I do acknowledge the usefulness of it all, but it truly is the worst drug ever invented. And people pretend to be worried about privacy?

Almost any of the art or sculpture that I am in possession of may probably be for sale. Most of the 3 dimensional objects i don’t have. I also love to do commissions of any sort. Realizing peoples ideas is quite fun.
